Bunda Branca Vlog

Bunda Branca is the new Gi Experts show following BJJ vlogger and full-time Jiu Jitsu competitor Daniël de Groot. Daniël recently finished his studies and spends a lot of his time training in Brazil, to pursue his jiu jitsu lifestyle and dream.

Daniël is a purple belt under Gabriel "Palito" Rollo and Thiago "Baiano" Abreu, and currently trains under The House Fight Company in Santos, Brazil, where he got his nickname “Bunda Branca” (which losely translates in to “White Ass”) after which the show was named.

Daniël is also part of Team FUJI Europe, together with other top Jiu Jitsu athletes such as IBJJF European champions Pedro “Paquito” Ramalho and Muujig Altantugs and ONE FC fighter Reinier de Ridder.

Episode 1: Day of a full-time BJJ competitor in Brazil

Daniël de Groot shows his everyday life in Brazil. He starts his day with the competition class at The House Fight Company. In the afternoon, Daniël studies jiu jitsu, does yoga, and has a second training.

Episode 2: Gringo at Sul Americano de Jiu-Jitsu 

In this vlog, Daniël shows his matches at the South American IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship and comments them afterwards to explain his actions during the competition.

Episode 3: Preparing for the NoGi Worlds!

Daniël arrives in LA to take part in the World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship. He shares his diet and part of the preparation he does for the tournament.

Episode 4: Gabriel "Palito" Rollo

In this episode, Daniël shows part of the training with his coach Gabriel Rollo, who teaches at The House FC in Santos. Afterwards Daniël interviews Gabriel and asks about his career, BJJ style and tips.

Episode 5: Last Days In Brazil

In this episode, we follow Daniël during his last days in Brazil, before going on a trip to the USA to compete at the IBJJF No-Gi World Championships. Takes us ti one of the classes that he taught at The House FC and visits a local tournament in Brazil.

Episode 6: No-Gi Worlds & Cost options for Brazil

In this video, Daniël goes to LA to participate at the IBJJF No-Gi Worlds Championships. His return flight is delayed, so he is stuck in Iceland where explores the city, eats the best hotdog ever and gives some useful information on the costs of living in Brazil.

Episode 7: BJJ Eurotrip

This time Daniël is back in Europe, traveling and training. First of all, Daniel visits the BJJ Fightgear office and warehouse in Groningen. Then Daniël goes to Breda and sightseeing in Rotterdam. Ending the trip in Germany.

Episode 8: The IBJJF Europeans

Pastel de Nata, urban exploring and one of the biggest tournaments in the world. In this episode, Daniël goes to Lisbon for the IBJJF Europeans. 

Episode 9: UAEJJF Netherlands Pro

In this episode Daniël participates in UAEJJF Netherlands Pro in Almere!

Episode 10: Coaching at a White Belt Only Competition

Daniël takes a few of his whitebelt students to a tournament in his hometown Rotterdam, where he coaches them to victory!
