Quick Gi Review: Inverted Gear Panda Classic Gi

The Panda Classic Gi by Inverted Gear is a basic, middle weight gi with the great attention even to the smallest details.

Technical details and design

The jacket is 100% cotton and is made out of 550 GSM pearl weave fabric. It has the custom inverted panda jacket edge and inside sleeve cuff taping. The inside seams are covered with ripstop, which prevents skin from irritation. The cuffs also have an extra layer of ripstop. The jacket has the custom embroidered panda logos at each shoulder and small patch on the lower left lapel.

The pants are also completely made out of cotton and feature 12oz ripstop. The pants of the Panda Classic gi have 8 belt loop system including two extra-wide loops. The gusset has been made out of the same pearl weave fabric as the jacket and the knees are reinforced with an extra layer of ripstop. The tailored cuffs are also reinforced with extra rows of stitching and inverted panda inner taping. The pants have an ID pocket and a small patch on the right hip.

Even though the material is pretty thick, the overall weight of this gi is only 1.7kg in size A2. The Inverted Gear Panda Classic Gi is available in white and blue colors in a wide range of sizes, including the S sizes (which stands for Slim and tall) and the H sizes (which stands for Husky or Heavy).
