Children belts are ranked in the following order: white, grey/white, grey/black, yellow/white, yellow, yellow/black, orange/white, orange, orange/black, green/white, green, green/black. Each belt has five levels, these are indicated with stripes. When you start, you have an empty belt and when you get promoted - each belt has their own minimum time the BJJ belt should be worn – you get promoted after receiving our stripes on your belt, than you go to the next rank. Every stripe you get is a reward for investing time in training, for your increased knowledge, the new techniques you’ve learned, your behaviour and your performance at tournaments. Only a black belt instructor who is certified by the SJJIF is able to promote students. Kids belts work different from normal BJJ belts, there are more and the promotions go faster, the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu kids belts we sell on BJJ Fightgear are mainly Fuji BJJ Kids belts.
